Exciting news for local Primary school children- Science week

Marty Jopsen Science Bloke and resident BBC 1 scientist is coming to Clonaslee College on November 12th 2019.

The school endeavours to promote the Sciences and hopes annually to invite a scientist to visit the school during Science week.

This year Marty will take the students from the beginning of microscopy through hugely magnified insects, bacteria and plants to the most

up to date fluorescent techniques demonstrated live on stage. The show is full of interactive and exciting demonstrations and samples are harvested from the audience!

Marty will give his show to all the students of Clonaslee College. Then he will also do an additional show for

up and coming scientists! Over 350 local primary school children from schools including Killeigh, The Rock, Mucklagh, Kinnitty, Clonaslee , Rosenallis and Castlecuffe are coming for his show on that day.

" Science is a way of helping the brain grow in finding new knowledge and helps us defeat our curiosity of how the world develops and works today".
