Monica Rowe visited the school on Wednesday 10th March. She spoke to a number of our year groups.
Students and staff really enjoyed her open 'conversations' with the
students and advice offered to them.
Later that evening she gave an enlightening and extremely informative practical presentation to parents.
Concerns raised by our own students were fed back.
She gave practical tips on ways to manage time, coping with cyberbullying, conversations needed with students with regard to accessing inappropriate material, reducing screen time on devices, etc.
Monica gave parents tips on how to instigate conversations with their children, advising appropriate line of questioning etc.
Overall feedback from parents was extremely positive with some requesting it be revisited at least every two years.
Parents no longer feeling isolated on certain matters but appreciating it is challenging times for all parents particularly post Covid.
This talk was a follow up from anti-bullying week which went very well last week.
