Student Support Team

Our Student Support team is comprised of the Principal, Deputy Principal, Guidance Counsellor, SEN coordinator, SPHE and Well Being teacher. This team organise and implement a range of supports that cater for the learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs of the students. The SST members co-ordinate the support available to the students through Chat & Connect, facilitating links to the community and other non-school support services, brief staff about policies and procedures relating to student well being and support and advise on the management and review of student support and structures. This team also review the Critical Incident Policy annually and implement the Critical Incident Management Plan in the event of a critical incident arising.

The team meet weekly and discuss any relevant speakers or workshops planned, any student referrals and any other student support related issues. Whilst all staff members have a duty of care the SST members are aware of the importance of not unnecessarily disclosing any personal information about students. Student’s privacy and confidentiality is re-iterated regularly at meetings and respected by all the members.
