Narnia-Sensory Space
At Clonaslee College, we are proud to offer a dedicated sensory space designed to provide a peaceful and calming environment for students. This space is thoughtfully created to support those who need a break from the hustle and bustle of school life, offering a place to relax, recharge, and refocus.
Equipped with soft lighting, calming textures, and sensory tools, the space helps students manage stress, improve concentration, and promote emotional well-being. Whether for quiet reflection, focused work, or sensory exploration, our sensory space is a welcoming retreat for all students to enjoy.
This space was opened in 2022 by Minster Ms Josepha Madigan.
Droichead
Droichead is an integrated professional induction framework for newly qualified teachers (NQTs).
The main objective of the Droichead process is to support the professional learning of NQTs during the induction phase, thus laying the foundations for subsequent professional growth and learning for the next phase of their career.
Our school plays an active and supportive role in the Droichead process. We provide a welcoming environment where NQTs can develop their skills, receive mentorship, and gain valuable classroom experience. With a dedicated support system in place, including experienced teachers who offer guidance and feedback, our school ensures that new educators feel confident and equipped to navigate the challenges of the profession.
