Our 5th and 6th Year students embraced the spirit of Seachtain na Gaeilge this week with a lively Speed Dating event, but with a cúpla focal! In preparation for their upcoming oral exams this Easter, our senior students teamed up to build confidence and fluency in spoken Irish.
Through a station-style setup, students engaged in conversations about themselves, their hobbies, their local area, future plans, and the issues affecting young people today. This interactive session gave them the opportunity to identify areas for improvement and fine-tune their speaking skills ahead of exams.
A huge comhghairdeas to our most impressive Gaeilgeoirí, Clodiagh Kennedy (Ms. Buckley’s class) and Saoirse Cusack (Mr. Lee’s class), who were recognised for their outstanding effort and enthusiasm.
Míle buíochas to the Irish Department for organising yet another fantastic event for Seachtain na Gaeilge.
We wish our 6th Years the very best of luck in their upcoming oral exams over Easter. Remember ‘Tús maith leath na hoibre!’– A good start is half the work.
