Student Enterprise Programme Launch!

This week, our school was delighted to welcome Rosie Dunne from the Laois Local Enterprise Office (LEO). Rosie came in to talk to us about the Student Enterprise Programme (SEP) – Ireland’s biggest and most exciting competition for secondary school students who want to try their hand at business!

The SEP gives students the chance to:
Set up and run a real business with your classmates
Learn key skills like teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and money management
Compete locally, regionally, and nationally against other student businesses
Get workshops, mentoring, and resources from the Local Enterprise Office to help you succeed ️

Rosie explained how the programme will run over the year, with students working on their business ideas step by step before presenting them at the county final. Winners from Laois will go on to represent the county in the National Final.

We’re really excited to see what innovative and creative ideas our students will come up with – who knows, the next big business could start right here in our school!
