Our TYs enjoyed their annual Christmas Dinner today, and what a project it was from start to finish. This has become a real TY tradition in Clonaslee College, with students taking on every stage themselves – planning the menu, writing the shopping list, decorating the room, baking, peeling, prepping, cooking and finally serving a full three-course meal to over 40 people. Most of us would think a task like that would be a huge challenge, but this is where Ms Gallagher thrives.
The kitchen was buzzing all day with everyone working together to have their feast ready for lunchtime. We have to say a huge well done to all our students who fully embraced their mission, and to Ms Gallagher, Ms Fallon, Ms Cleare and Ms Larkin who kept everything running smoothly from organisation to clean-up.
Everyone got into the festive spirit and the day ended with a sing song and some dancing. If anyone wants a little help in the kitchen this Christmas, thank Ms Gallagher, because our TYs are now definitely ready for the task!
