Clonaslee Voices at Comhairle na nÓg

Representatives from our school attended the Laois Comhairle na nÓg event this week. Students took part in team-building activities and had the opportunity to share their views on issues affecting young people and Ireland’s relationship with the EU. Local TD Brian Stanley and Councillor Barry Walsh, Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, were also present on the day.

We were especially proud to see Jack receive a certificate of recognition for his continued involvement in Comhairle na nÓg outside of school. Jack has attended meetings, spoken with TDs about local issues impacting young people, and even visited the Dáil during his time with the group. As Jack’s time with Comhairle na nÓg comes to an end later this year, we’re delighted that Céilidh will take on the role to ensure Clonaslee College continues to have a strong voice on local youth issues.
