Our senior students were blessed with fantastic weather as they completed their 25km hike for the Gaisce Award. A very busy first day saw them clock up an impressive 22km. While the climb to the top was challenging, the stunning views made every step worthwhile.
After a long day, everyone enjoyed some well-earned downtime at the hostel, with homemade pizzas and treats helping them recharge for the final stretch the next morning. There they had the opportunity to explore the area, including the round tower and the ruins of the cathedral.
A huge well done to all students involved on such a fantastic achievement! Thanks to Ms Staunton who planned the hike and guided the group throughout, and to Mr Madden and Ms Fitzpatrick for planning and organising the trip.
