Last week, our LCA1 students took part in two important task interviews, demonstrating the knowledge and skills they have developed in their vocational subjects.
As part of their Vocational Education task in Agriculture/Horticulture, students were responsible for planning, producing, and presenting a variety of horticultural products. This hands-on project allowed them to experience the full process from start to finish—selecting materials, managing growth or production, and creating final products that reflected both skill and care. Their efforts highlighted not only technical abilities but also teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity.
In addition, students completed their Vocational Preparation task, where they researched a career pathway that interests them and may align with their future goals. They investigated key aspects of their chosen career—including necessary qualifications, daily responsibilities, working conditions, and employment opportunities—and then presented their findings during an interview-style assessment. This provided valuable insight into the world of work and encouraged thoughtful reflection on future ambitions.
Both tasks gave students the opportunity to develop essential real-world skills and gain confidence in their abilities. Well done to all students for their enthusiasm, effort, and professionalism throughout the process! #etbethos #excellenceineducation #care
