Our students had the fabulous opportunity to engage with the Mount Lucas Apprenticeship Training Rig, which visited our school this week. This exciting event gave students hands-on experience and practical insight into a variety of trades, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, welding, and bricklaying.
Through a combination of virtual reality and real-life demonstrations, students learned about the day-to-day reality of working in these sectors. They also discovered the wide range of career paths and training courses available to them at Mount Lucas.
A huge thank you to Mr. Cotter for organising this valuable event, and to all the instructors from Mount Lucas for generously sharing their time, expertise, and passion for the trades.
