Our Senior footballers bounced back from last week’s defeat to get a win against a strong NAAS side. It was a game where both teams had alternating periods of dominance, especially the first half. Naas had a good opening 10 mins establishing a 3 point lead before Clonaslee had a purple patch scoring 3-1 without reply. Naas then had their own purple patch scoring 3-2 without reply. Naas had some very good individual footballers where Clonaslee had a more balanced team all round. The final score was Clonaslee College 8-11 vs 4-11 Gael Colaiste Cill Dara. Clonaslee had a number of good performances across the field but special mention has to go to Shane Rigney for scoring 4-1 from corner forward all from play. Clonaslee are now into a quarter final with the opposition tbc.
