Tough break for our U16 Girls’ Basketball Team

Shout out to our brilliant U16 Basketballers, who were defeated in the All-Ireland Playoffs today. The girls came up against two very strong teams (St. Olivers, Drogheda and Dominican College, Fortwilliam) but gave it absolutely everything and, as always, did our school proud.

Huge thanks to Ms Staunton, Ms Sweeney, Becky, Annie, MiMi and Alannah, along with all involved in Clonaslee Basketball Club for their time, commitment and continued support. A final word of thanks to our fantastic supporters on the day – parents, students, teachers (especially Ms Lydon and Ms Cleare), our U19 team for the catering, and all the staff in the Centre.

Congratulations to Dominican College Fortwilliam on advancing to the next stage of the competition.
