TYs take on Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition

TY students Niamh, Ashleen and Áine, along with their Ag Science teacher  Mr Madden, travelled to Moorepark Research Centre  in Cork to take part in Stage 2 of the Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition .

As part of the process, the girls were interviewed on the video they created, which highlights the importance of health and safety on farms and practical ways to reduce farm accidents.

Our school has a long tradition of entering this competition, and we are extremely proud of the work the girls have put in so far. If successful, they will go on to showcase their project in Croke Park  next March, with an exciting opportunity to win five Angus calves up for grabs.
