TYs visit Midlands Skills Centre

Thanks to Sarah and Lorraine for organising and welcoming our TY students to the Midlands Skills Centre in Tullamore yesterday.

Our students visited the excellent Clean Room facilities and learnt how a controlled environment is created and maintained. They also delivered group presentations based on the Clean Room Module they had studied in class in preparation for the visit.

This visit directly linked with one of the Developmental Indicators of TY: Career Exploration. It gave students a clear look at career paths connected to Clean Room technology, including working in sectors like pharmaceuticals, medical devices and advanced manufacturing.We are very grateful that our students once again had the oppourtunity to visit such a fantastic local facility.
