TY Trip to Cork
As part of this project, we have planned a trip to Vistamilk SFI Research Centre in Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork on Wednesday the 26th of October. The purpose of the visit is for the students to meet with Irish scientists and to hear about their current climate related research and to get ideas for the climate detective’s project.
Outline of the day as follows:
- 8am (Sharp): Depart School
- 10am: Arrive Cork Marts Fermoy and meet other schools (Conference Centre). Juice/biscuits provided on arrival.
- 10:30am: Official Welcome and student workshop.
- 12:15: Light lunch provided for all students (sandwiches/drink)
- 12:45: Travel on bus to Teagasc Moorepark
- 13:15: Tour of facilities and meet Teagasc and Vistamilk scientists
- 15:15: Depart Moorepark
- 17:15 (approx.): Arrive back to school
