Celebrating World Autism Awareness Day at Clonaslee College

Today, April 2nd, marks the 18th annual World Autism Awareness Day, a United Nations-designated day aimed at increasing understanding and acceptance of autism.

At Clonaslee College, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and understood. In recognition of World Autism Awareness Day, we encourage our school community to:

·      Engage in Conversations : Speak with autistic individuals to understand how they would like to observe the day and how we can support them better.

·      Promote Understanding and Acceptance : Share information about autism within your family and friend circles to cultivate a more inclusive society.

·      Educate Ourselves : Read books or watch documentaries that provide insights into the experiences of autistic individuals.

Let’s work together to create a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone in our school community.
