Our LCA Agriculture/Horticulture students recently enjoyed a visit to Tirlán, Mountmellick , where they received a warm welcome from past pupil and former Senior Student of the Year, Alan Grehan! 👏
Alan kindly took the time to answer the students’ questions and gave them an informative tour of the garden centre and feed stores, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience in all things Ag/Hort! A huge thank you to Alan for his time and for giving back to his old school!
On the journey home, the students made another stop to put their classroom learning into practice, carrying out some plant identification and collecting soil samples for testing back in the school lab. It was a brilliant day of hands-on learning beyond the classroom!
