Cairde is the Irish word for friends, and we are very lucky to have such a fantastic mentoring team in Clonaslee College. Our TY Cairde students were selected following interviews, where they demonstrated the kindness, consideration and maturity needed to become excellent student leaders.
They’ve been busy since we returned last week. Their first day was spent welcoming our new First Years, helping them settle into all things Clonaslee, and taking part in games and activities to get to know one another. Since then, they’ve continued to be fantastic role models and a support to all younger students. They’ve been helping new students find their way to class, answering questions and teaching everyone how work the combination-code lockers!
We are proud of the enthusiasm and responsibility they are already demonstrating in their new roles. We know they’ll be fantastic role models and mentors throughout the year. If you’re looking for a Cairde member, keep an eye out for their Cairde badges!
