e are very proud of our Leaving Certificate Applied students following a busy and successful week completing components of their State examinations.
In Hotel, Catering and Tourism, students showcased their culinary talents in the Home Economics kitchen, preparing a range of impressive starters, main courses and desserts. As the photos show, their examiner was certainly in for a treat!
In Agriculture/Horticulture, students completed practical performance examinations and carried out a variety of investigations. Their work included examining the effects of soil compaction on germination rates, demonstrating the activity of earthworms in soil through the construction of a wormery, planting bulbs, investigating water infiltration in different soil types and testing soil pH.
In Irish, they completed their oral exams with a visiting examiner and should be very proud of their efforts
Well done to all our students on their hard work throughout the week. A special thank you also to Ms. Cleare, Mr Lee and Mr. Madden for all their support and guidance in helping students prepare confidently for their exams
