Today our students travelled to the WorldSkills event in the RDS, Dublin. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore the excellent apprenticeship and training routes currently on offer in Ireland. Students took part in hands-on activities, watched some of the best apprentices compete, and met with Ireland’s leading companies. They also discovered many different careers such as Hospitality and Tourism, Scaffolding, Hairdressing, Cyber Security, Metal Fabrication and much more.
Thanks so much to Mr. Cotter, our Guidance Counsellor, who organised this brilliant day out. A huge thank you also to all our parents and guardians who got students to school bright and early this morning (no easy task with Ploughing traffic in full swing!). We heard there were a few tired heads on the journey home, but it was certainly worth it.
