Two members from the Revenue team visited our TY students today to deliver the Revenue’s Outreach Programme. Phil Hughes and Sarah O’Keefe delivered a workshop to assist students to register their PPS number on the revenue system. The team presented key elements on the basic tax system in Ireland, demonstrated how to register for their first job online through myAccount services, and outlined elements of the payslip and tax credits. They also encouraged students to view publicjobs.ie when they finish school, promoting career opportunities for their futures.
During the school year, TY students have been studying Revenue’s ‘Introduction to Tax’ module. This module has provided students with an overview of key taxes that they may encounter throughout both their personal and professional lives.
