Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund- Gaeltacht Scholarship Opportunity!

We are proud to be big advocates of the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund and the incredible opportunities it continues to create for young people. Having already received memorial benches through the fund in our school, we have seen first-hand the positive impact of honouring Ashling’s legacy by supporting students and promoting Irish language and culture.

We are now encouraging all eligible students to apply for the Ashling Murphy Gaeltacht Scholarship Opportunity. This year, 8 students will be awarded subsidised scholarships to attend the Gaeltacht in Coláiste Chamuis, Ros a Mhíl, Co. Galway from 28th June – 17th July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the Irish language, strengthen your communication skills and experience life in the Gaeltacht. Ms Buckley is especially encouraging her 5th Year students to apply to develop their confidence over the summer and return ready and prepared for the Leaving Cert Oral in 6th Year.

If you are in 2nd Year, TY or 5th Year, we strongly encourage you to consider applying.

Closing date: 20th February 2026
