Success at Laois County Student Enterprise Final

We were delighted to have three groups from Clonaslee College participating in the Student Enterprise Programme Laois County Final, which took place this week in the Midlands Park Hotel.

The groups representing the school were:

• Bonnet Buddy by Rebecca Davis and Áine Larkin

• DJ Valeting by Dylan Johnson

• KRCS Engineering by Kevin McCann, Ronan Cuddy, Cullen Hyland and Shane Rigney

All groups put a huge amount of work into preparing for the county final, producing detailed business reports, creating samples of their work, and presenting their products and services to the judges.

The students were fortunate to receive excellent support and guidance from Rosie Dunne from the Student Enterprise Programme, as well as Ms Wilson in the school.

We are especially delighted to report that KRCS Engineering won 3rd Prize in the Senior Category for their innovative metal boot rack made from recycled steel. They are pictured receiving their €200 prize from Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, Barry Walsh, and Laois County Council Chief Executive, Michael Rainey.

Congratulations to all the students involved for representing Clonaslee College so well!
