Day 3 of Smile Week kept the good atmosphere going with a fantastic mix of music and movement.
Firstly, our 1st and 2nd year girls and their coaches were up early to travel to Ennis for the All-Ireland Basketball Playoffs. A huge well done to the girls, succeeding to this level of the competition gave us all a reason to smile today.
More staff muggings brought plenty of laughter and surprise throughout the day, thanks to all our staff for getting into the spirit and helping to keep the smiles coming. In the courtyard at lunchtime, our 5th years took over the playlist and had the place buzzing in the sunshine.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the visit from Drumadore, Ireland’s most fun drumming school. Cormac and Anastasia made the trip from Galway to deliver high-energy, hands-on workshops for students from 1st to 5th year. These sessions were more than just loud and lively- they were educational, collaborative, and above all fun. Students got the chance to work together, learn new rhythms, and experience the joy of drumming. The feedback has been glowing, and it’s safe to say Drumadore lived up to its reputation. A huge thank you to Ms. Cleare for organising what was a truly memorable experience for all involved.
Bring on Day 4 of Smile Week.
