Students began the day sightseeing around the city, taking in both the old and new towns on a guided tour led by Mr. Dooley. He even showed them where he attended college while living in Lyon.
They saw some incredible architecture and historical statues, including Louis XIV. Students walked through Vieux Lyon, exploring its narrow streets and visiting lots of shops, really getting a feel for the city.
They also visited the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, where they admired the impressive cathedral and its surroundings. Afterwards, they travelled to the Musée des Confluences. Here, students explored many different eras and exhibits, including Sortilèges et zombification (Spells and Zombification), Arctic life with life-sized displays, early humans, dinosaur skeletons, and much more. The day finished with dinner at a local French restaurant
